Former University of Miami head coach Jimmy Johnson has been named one of 17 former players and coaches that will be inducted in the 2012 class of the College Football Hall of Fame, as announced Tuesday by the National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame.

Former Air Force safety Scott Thomas and former Colorado State defensive back Greg Myers have been named to the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2012, announced today by The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame. Former Jim Thorpe Award winner Greg Myers, a two-time All-American at Colorado State, has been selected for enshrinement in the College Football Hall of Fame. The National Football Foundation made the announcement Tuesday.

Scott Thomas, a 1986 graduate of the Air Force Academy and former All-American safety, has been elected into the College Football Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2012. Thomas is the fourth former Falcon to be elected to the HOF, players Brock Strom (1985) and Chad Hennings (2006) and former coach Fisher DeBerry (2011).

The Denver Broncos announced Monday that UNLV alumnus and former Rebel head coach Wayne Nunnely has retired from coaching after 36 years, including the last 17 seasons in the National Football League.

The Mountain West Conference has released television information and kickoff times for five San Diego State football games. The Aztecs will appear twice on NBC Sports Network and three times on CBS Sports Network this fall.
